UHS signs MOU with
PITB to monitor Trainees

LAHORE: University of Health Sciences, Lahore has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Punjab Institute of Technology Board to start a project of clinical monitoring for MD, MS and MDS candidates. The MOU was signed by Prof. Javed Akram and Chairman PITB Mr. Asif Bilal Lodhi. Prof. Maroof Aziz Pro VC, Director Medical Education at UHS Khalid Rahim and Director PITB Nosheen Fayaz were also present.

Speaking on this occasion Prof. Javed Akram VC UHS said that the need for such a monitoring system was being felt since long in view of the enormous increase in the number of postgraduates. Over three thousand trainees will be registered on the online portal. It will help to monitor the trainees at different stages on regular basis. This is the first project that we have undertaken with PITB and hope to start some more projects in the days to come. The whole objective of these initiatives, he said was to help the patients and ensure patients safety providing state of the art healthcare.
